The Hunter Valley

The Hunter Valley, just over 1.5 hrs north of the Central Coast is one of Australia's major wine-growing regions, with a viticultural history dating back to the early 1800s. Known for varietals such as Semillon and Shiraz, The Hunter Valley is home to well over 100 vineyards. Most are located south of the Hunter River and operate cellar doors so the public can sample their bottlings.
